Catechesis is a new online journal of the Reformed Theological Society, the publishers of the Reformed Theological Review (RTR), Australia’s longest-running Protestant theological journal (founded in 1942). Both publications share the same aim: the defence, exposition and proclamation of the Reformed faith.
While RTR is a peer-reviewed academic journal, Catechesis seeks to provide a thoughtful but more accessible forum for articles and book reviews from a confessionally Reformed perspective. We hope that everyone, not just pastors and leaders, will find Catechesis a helpful resource as we reflect on our Christian faith and walk in the Australian context. Catechesis commenced publication in April 2021.
The Reformed Theological Society is a not-for-profit charity. Donations are appreciated, and can be made by credit card or Paypal using the button below, or by cheque to the address on this page (Australian dollars only).
Article and book review submissions are welcome. Articles are typically 2,000–4,000 words, with as few footnotes as possible (please no more than 15). Contributions must be in conformity with the historic Reformed Faith, and in particular with the Thirty-nine Articles, the Westminster Confession of Faith, and the Three Forms of Unity. Catechesis is not a peer-reviewed journal. For highly-researched articles, please consider publishing with The Reformed Theological Review (rtr.org.au). Opinions expressed belong to the respective authors.
