About

Catechesis is a new online journal of the Reformed Theological Society, the publishers of the Reformed Theological Review (RTR), Australia’s longest-running Protestant theological journal (founded in 1942). The aim of Catechesis is the defence, exposition, and proclamation of the Reformed faith.

While RTR is a peer-reviewed academic research journal, Catechesis seeks to provide a scholarly and thoughtful but more accessible forum for articles and book reviews from a confessionally Reformed perspective. We hope that everyone, not Reformed academics, will find Catechesis a helpful resource as we reflect on our Christian faith and walk in the Australian context. Catechesis commenced publication in April 2021.
